  • 3 ways you can help me (that cost you nothing and which I would appreciate a lot)

An Exercise to define and conquer your fears

Fear is unavoidable, especially when attempting to accomplish an important goal or embarking on a new project that requires you to take risks. However, fear doesn’t need to become a source of unmanageable stress and anxiety. A simple method called “fear setting” will help you to define your fears so that you can embrace them and achieve your goals.

You'll have to scroll a little bit down to the actual exercise.

A Framework to help you say no more often

By saying no, we preserve our energy and creative capacity to do a better job on the projects, mentoring and service roles that we choose to devote our time to.

12 Non-Obvious Traits of High Performers

I consume a lot of content and I love pretty much everything Sahil Bloom sends out in his newsletter. One of the articles, he dropped last week was about the Non-Obvious Traits of High Performers. There are some great mental models in this article. You could use them to find the gaps in your own skillset and see where you could improve.

What to read next?

There are so many good books out there. But what on earth should you read?

A great book I just finished helped me answer this question a bit better. Quoting from The Almanak of Naval Ravikant:

“It almost doesn’t matter what you read. Eventually, you will read enough things (and your interests will lead you there) that it will dramatically improve your life. Just like the best workout for you is one you’re excited enough to do every day, I would say for books, blogs, tweets, or whatever—anything with ideas and information and learning—the best ones to read are the ones you’re excited about reading all the time”

For me, I love to read what great minds read. You probably know about all the lists that appear on social media “10 must reads on this and on that”, “10 books Bill Gates recommends.”

I’ve found this great website that puts them all together and gives you an overview of all the successful people that recommend specific books.

So the next time you get stuck check out this website and find what your personal hero recommends:

15 Free Courses that teach you the Fundamentals of Web3.

I'm not telling you which pictures of apes to buy. But I do believe that Blockchain is inevitable moving forward. Even if you don't aspire a career in it, it's good to get a basic understanding. Worst case scenario you'll learn something new.

@OnToTheFutur3 - Preparing You for the Future of the Internet

I've partnered with a good friend of mine who is currently head of gaming and web3 at a pretty big firm (pretty pretty big). He is knee-deep into the metaverse and works with the biggest brands all over the world.

Because I want to keep the journey of Startup Library all about personal growth and don't want to go into too many specifics we created a different newsletter for everything Web3, Crypto, Metaverse and Blockchain related. If you want to stay in the loop subscribe below.

Help me. (If you like this mailing)

First of all, thanks a lot for reading. It motivates me to create and find more content going forward.

I want this information to be free for everyone. The world will only be a better place if chances are distributed more evenly. Inequality is already growing too fast. It's up to us to tighten the gap.

You can help me grow this educational platform I'm building in 3 easy ways (that cost you nothing).

1. Share this newsletter with friends who could benefit.

2. Subscribe to my YouTube channel: (This way I can earn some ad money in the future)

3. Follow me on Medium (I need 100 followers to get paid by Medium for my writing)

Thank you!

You made it to the end. I hoped you liked the insights provided in this mailing. This email is brought to you by Startup Library, a brand of The Growing Investor. I intend to shift my cheezy quote game on Instagram to a more serious game where I share with you the resources I use to keep myself updated and motivated. If you got any suggestions feel free to reply to this mail or send me a DM on Instagram. If you found value for a friend I would appreciate it if you'd share this mail with them and have them sign up as well.

Thanks again and I'll see you next week with new resources to shake your professional world.
